Feeding the donkey

When I was a kid my father would take Daniel and I for walks and hikes at La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, California. We would bring our rat terrier who would chase jack-rabbits in and out of the cacti and sage bushes. We would hike up to a cross erected at the top of a hill, then down to a couple spring fed ponds, and then round the property of the mission. We were there so often we knew the park rangers and were allowed to stay after hours and sometimes feed the cows, bulls, pigs, and horses. We usually didn't feed the goats and sheep because they shit everywhere and goats are assholes. We were allowed to sit on the still operational fountains were we would clean our hands off after petting the pigs (they were usually covered with mud and hay.

On our way out Daniel and I would always stop to feed the donkey. The donkey was very particular about what he ate. He didn't eat weeds he liked grass with long stalks but the problem is he was locked in a field with horses, cows, ponies, and a bull. These animals tend not to leave any grass with long stalks. Daniel and I would collect long stalks of grass during the walk to feed the donkey. He loved us. He got so comfortable he would even nod toward long stalks of grass near us but out of reach for him as if looking for a reason to keep us around. He would bay and nag as we would leave. Once he even grabbed Daniels sweatshirt with his teeth as we were walking away.

I didn't mind feeding that donkey because I fed him on my own terms. Now we have an election coming and two donkeys pushing mandates to make me feed them on their terms. I can't stand government mandates that fall outside of basic civility.

Global Warmists have their heads in the sand

Global Warmists are silly in there altruistic ideals. The only way to create a world that doesn't pollute and destroy the environment is to have a huge war and kill all those who pollute and institute laws world wide. That will never happen so it is to be expected that developing nations will pollute the shit out of their rivers. On trains in India if you have to defecate, you do this into a hole which opens to the tracks. This means any journey that takes you near train tracks in India is going to fill your nostrils with the odor of sewage. Yes, the third world is dirty, filthy and downright shitty! Pun intended.
China insists that they can seed rain clouds to cause rain… Well, I guess if seeding clouds is what you want to call it. Here in the guilt ridden western world we would call it pouring exhaust and chemicals out of smoke stacks causing acid rain for hundreds of miles, then, OK we get it.

In Europe, the forests have all but disappeared but their developed and feel the guilt so bad they are paying guilt extortion checks to carbon-footprint companies owned by the profit Al Gore. (I meant PROFIT!) They do use nuclear power which is nice but ignorant assholes have a fear nuclear power here in the States.
In Africa, well what can I say? Africa is possibly the most fucked up place on the planet.

The reason I mention all these places is, Global Warming is a stupid excuse for environmentalists to hide their heads in the sand while driving a Prius with a pretentious bumper-sticker about being an environmentalist and a hate Bush sticker. Rather than really doing something about the environment in their local area. Here in Central Florida we are cutting down forests to build yuppie housing, and cookie cutter shopping malls. By the way, these yuppie housing places and shopping malls are directly contributing to the pollution of the Florida Everglades.

So local tree hugging, bike riding, tye-dye wearing, slam poetry reading, George W. Bush hating, numbskulls, hackie-sacking, stop telling the developing world what to do and take action in your own backyard.

We are cutting down forests, there are invasive species of plant and animal, highways that kill wildlife, displaced black bears, disappearing panthers and the list goes on and on.

One more thing, Birkenstocks are not considered dress shoes.
